The Mahoosuc Arts Council (MAC) has made significant cultural enrichment and creative economic contributions to the Greater Bethel Area since 1986 through a variety of school and community arts programming.
The MAC provides to K-12 students in both the private and public school systems of the Greater Bethel Area access to outstanding and world-class music, performing and visual arts through numerous performances and Artists-in-Residence Programs throughout the school year. Much of this same programming is also made accessible to the community through the Gould Academy Performing Arts Series which hosts a wide variety of local, regional state-wide, national and even international artists.
The MAC also provides free access to concerts in the Bethel Summer Bandstand Series where we host a variety of musicians and musical groups representing every type of genre imaginable. Finally, The MAC sponsors and coordinates the annual community arts and crafts festival Mollyockett Day every July, which includes a significant fundraiser for the Council known as the ARTirondack Auction.
