Skylark Jazz Ensemble's fun, swinging
sound will have you wanting to dance,

captivating music is a mix of jazz standards
and other popular songs from light swing
to bossa nova cool, love ballads, a little blues
and even an occasional country song.
Featuring the lush, soulful voice of Janet Gill,
the band includes Carol Rhoads on keyboard,
Bob Wallace on bass and Carl Harbourt on percussion. Skylark has entertained audiences at the Cornish Apple Festival, Bridgton's Art in the Park, Norway Arts Festival, and other public events and private parties. Janet's rich, fluid vocals have delighted many audiences in western Maine, while Bob is known for playing bass with the Bunch of Ole Hippies, and for writing and performing his own songs. A very popular Bethel duo, Donnie and Jewel play many old and new favorites and are a favorite act of families, and folks of all ages. Jewel, a true gem in the crown of Bethel, is also a one-of-a kind award-winning performer with her yodeling expertise and an extremely versatile and sensitive voice. This Bethel duo offers something for everyone with music from Country and Folk to Blues and Rock-n-Roll, spiced with originals here and there. And of course, there'll be some "yodeling," an art Jewel inherited from her Dad, Yodeling Slim Clark.

Blue Willow Band
August 21, 2011 - Blue Willow Band
The "Blue Willow Band" is a six piece Rhythm and Blues/Jazz band featuring Diana Hansen on vocals, guitar, and percussion. The band utilizes multi-instrumentalists Dave Wakefield (tenor sax, harmonica, vocals) and band-leader Merrill Rollins (keyboards, trumpet, and vocals) to great advantage in creating a "big band" sound with only six musicians. Rex Rounds (guitar and vocals), Bill Hansen (bass and vocals) and Jon Bliss (drums) combine to provide a full, punchy sound that really swings. Their selection of tunes ranges from Robert Cray to Fats Waller and is guaranteed to get you dancing. "Blue Willow" has been entertaining audiences from Bangor to Nantucket to North Conway for over twenty years and they really know how to share the obvious fun they have performing.

Bill Docus
August 28, 2011 - Guitarist Bill Docus
Originally from New Hampshire, Bill has been living in West Paris, Maine since 2007. He taught himself to play guitar some 25 years ago and has played throughout America and all over the world including: the Ukraine, Canada and Greenland. He plays electric and acoustic guitars including his own hand-built 7-string acoustic guitar. He was recently featured on the front page of the Livermore Falls Advertiser playing guitar with his 12 year old son at the Frantasia Festival. Mixing Jazz Fusion with an improvised fingerstyle, Bill plays at restaurants, wine-tastings and many other venues including writing and performing customized wedding songs and sitting in as a studio guitarist for artists and friends in the New England area. Bill truly has a unique gift ,one you won't want to miss!
